Rapha\u00ebl is the General Secretary of the U\u00c9BFC, President of imagoDei, a research professor in intercultural studies at Columbia International University in the United States, as well as a lecturer at the Evangelical Theological Faculty of Vaux-sur-Seine in France.<\/div>
<\/div>
He is involved in the Lausanne Movement, particularly through the Church Planting Working Group.<\/div>
<\/div>
After completing his Master\u2019s in Economics at the University of Strasbourg, Rapha\u00ebl continued his academic journey in the United States with a Master of Theology, a Doctorate in Missiology, and a Doctorate in Intercultural Studies at Columbia International University. Rapha\u00ebl was a recipient of the Sandy Ford Scholarship in 2001 and the Billy Graham Lausanne Scholarship in 2018. He is the author of several books and articles in both French and English, including Moi aussi je voudrais croire, mais\u2026<\/g> (BLF, 2008). He also contributed to the writing of the Dictionary of Practical Theology (Excelsis, 2021) and more recently Against the Tide: Mission Amidst the Global Currents of Secularization (William Carey, 2019). <\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Jennifer Debrecen<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Jennifer is an Honours Bachelor’s student in Psychology with a minor in Education at Concordia University in Montreal. Since 2019, she has been an assistant to the management of the U\u00c9BFC, where she oversees the planning and tracking of multidisciplinary projects. <\/p>

She holds a diploma in Project Management Techniques and a diploma in Business Start-Up, as well as two college diplomas (DEC): one in Photography and the other in Creative Arts. Additionally, she completed a certificate in Biblical Studies at the Evangelical Theological Faculty (FT\u00c9). <\/p>

Versatile and organized, Jennifer has gained extensive experience in project management, business start-up, and event coordination. Maxime is married to Julie Deshaies for 17 years and father to three children. He planted \u00c9glise Le Phare in Quebec and has been serving in ministry for seven years. After planting the church, he continued working in ministry with a particular passion for church planting.<\/p>

Maxime is currently the Director of Church Planting, Multiplication, and Evangelism for the U\u00c9BFC. He is also an Advance Ambassador for Francophone Canada. In addition to his practical experience, Maxime holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theological Studies from the Evangelical Theological Faculty (FT\u00c9). <\/p>

Rici has been a born-again Christian since 1997, of Chinese-Cambodian origin, born in Thailand, and living in Quebec since 1979. Married since 2006, he is the proud father of three boys. <\/p>

He completed a Master of Divinity in Youth Ministry and Christian Education at Tyndale Seminary in 2010. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctorate in Leadership with a focus on church reinvention in its context at Tyndale Seminary. <\/p>

A former ordained pastor, he was in charge of one of the three congregations of the Montreal Chinese Baptist Church for eight years and served as the coordinator of youth mental health ministry with Chinese Christian Missions of Canada for three years. Still a member of this church in downtown Montreal, he has been working with the Union since 2019 as the Director of Youth and Family Ministries. He is also a Reserve Chaplain in the Canadian Armed Forces. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Director of Administration and Finance<\/strong><\/p>

Julie holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in business administration and has several years of experience in the community sector, where she developed strong nonprofit management skills, including serving as the coordinator of a coalition of organizations. She also spent several years as treasurer of the Pointe-aux-Trembles Evangelical Baptist Church and was part of the core team that planted \u00c9glise Le Phare in Lavaltrie. <\/p>

Since April 2025, she has served as the Union\u2019s Director of Administration and Finance, in addition to acting as an assistant to Maxime Cauchon and contributing actively to various projects, including EP4 and the women\u2019s retreats.<\/p>

A mother of three and married for more than 17 years, Julie loves people, serving, and continual learning. Janet grew up in a Chinese Baptist family that instilled in her the values of the Christian faith. Over the years, she has been involved in various ministries, primarily within her church, while working in the secular world. <\/p>

After 17 years in the banking sector, Janet felt the need for a change. The opportunity to join the U\u00c9BFC then arose. She became engaged as a Partnerships Development Officer and in the ministry of generosity, aiming to encourage others to reflect more on generosity and to understand that fundraising is not just about soliciting financial donations. For Janet, it is about recognizing that everything comes from God and wanting to love Him back with the resources He has graciously given us. <\/p>

Today, Janet inspires and guides the members of the U\u00c9BFC to embrace a broader vision of generosity, transforming how resources are perceived and used to serve God and the community.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
